You are a Soldier
If you have given your life to Christ Jesus you are a soldier in His army. It's not an army like today where you receive a gun or a different weapon. You are fighting in a battle however. Every day that you wake up the battle begins, and the tough part is, most the time you don't see your enemy until he's attacking you. So how can you be ready for an attack. You put on your spiritual armor. In Ephesians 6:10-18 it says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole aromor of God, that ye may be able to stand against all the wiles of the Devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preperation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the sield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And taking the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" As the Word says you have got to put on your armor. And you can't say, "Woa! I don't want to be in any army, sorry." because you're in an army if you like it or not. You're either on God's side or you're on Satan's side, but you can't be on both. I'm not going to say that being on God's side is going to be easy 'cause it's not. But it is the most rewarding. A soldier has got to be prepared when he goes into battle, are you prepared for the battles that are ahead? The only way you'll get through these battles is by trusting in Jesus.
